ingredients for 6 pieces:
200 g flour
120 g butter
salt
180 g streaky bacon
350 g onions
oil
pepper
250 g Crème Fraîche
1 egg & 1 yolk
nutmeg & oil for the baking dish
Preparation of food:
Make a batter from the flour the butter and add 5 tbsp. of cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
Now form a ball from the batter and put it into the fridge for 30 minutes. Cut the streaky bacon and the onions into stripes. Gently fry the bacon in a bit of added fat, add the onions and fry them as well .Put pepper over all. Whisk the Crème fraîche with the eggs,add a pinch of salt as well as a bit of nutmeg.
Roll out the dough into a greased baking dish ( 26 cm Ø = 10 inch). Put the bacon and the onions on top of the dough. Pour the egg-cream mixture over it.
Heat up the oven to 200° C ( 394F)
Bake the pie for about 35 – 40 minutes.
